London is a hive of activity, as the spring chill gives way to warmer summer evenings then think about spending some time in the city, now is the perfect time to take a city break. There are some great shows on in the capital and several great theatres to create a wonderful locations perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening in the city. Great locations are the key to these show venues, they are near some of the most central spots for entertainment in the capital situated in Covent Garden, near Leicester Square or in Westminster all a stones throw away from bustling London night life.There are great shows from Burlesque or Rat Pack tributes, from classic opera and Royal Concert Orchestras, something to please everyone. The Grade 2 listed Royal Albert Hall is located in Kensington and was opened in 1871. The Royal Albert Hall has a variety of shows and music extravaganza throughout the year to showcase some of the best musical talent. Orchestral performances, choirs and shows all make up the calendar. If that's a bit too far from your hotel why not consider the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Renowned for its' spectacular performances with spectacular shows and world tours of some of the most famous ballets an  operas. A perfect location to spend an evening with pre show dinner at one of the many famous restaurant in the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden. If you really have a full weekend or a few days, you could try taking in a matinee at the Lyceum Theatre,located in Westminster just off the Strand. Some of the longest running musicals have been shown there, so whether you take in an evening performance or a bonus afternoon activity, the wonderful Lyceum theatre has location at the heart of some of London's biggest attractions and tourist spots. If you are looking for something different, or you have visited London many times before, check out the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square, bordering on Chinatown.
